In today’s society, it is often difficult to consume all the nutrients your body requires to function properly. This results in a myriad of health problems and diseases, such as obesity, high blood pressure, a poorly functioning immune system and low energy levels. Eating healthy is not only a challenge in your busy life, it can be downright impossible at times. This is where Moringa Oleifera comes in. Not only does it provide more than the recommended amount of daily vitamins and minerals, it is proven to prevent and treat the aforementioned conditions and much more.
Moringa Oleifera Benefits: The “Tree of Life”
Moringa Oleifera benefits are a result of the pods and leaves of the Moringa tree, one that is native to the foothills of the Himalayas. However, other countries, such as Africa, Sri Lanka and India, are now cultivating this drought-resistant miracle from Mother Nature.
Every part of the tree has a use, and it has more than 300 medicinal uses. The pods are the most nutritious, containing large quantities of amino acids, and those that have not yet reached maturity can be eaten raw, or prepared as you would green beans. Mature pods are usually fried and taste like peanuts. The leaves can be eaten fresh, as in a salad, cooked or made into a powder. It is this powder that comes in the powerful supplement form.
Moringa Oleifera Benefits: Malnourishment
Humanitarian orgnizations such as the Church World Service and National Science Foundation recognize how powerful the Moringa Oleifera benefits are, especially when it comes to treating those who are malnourished. While traditional medicinal treatments for malnourishment and its adverse effects on the body usually take months before improvement is seen, these organizations now use Moringa Oleifera, and for good reason–an improvement in the health of the malnourished improves in days.
Moringa Oleifera Benefits: Childhood Blindness
Vitamin A plays a vital role in vision, and is required by the retina to form a light-absorbing molecule retinal. It is absolutely necessary for various functions of the retina, one of which being color vision. One of the Moringa Oleifera benefits is its ability to prevent childhood blindness because of the amount of vitamin A it contains–272 percent of the recommended daily value, or four times the amount contained in carrots.
Moringa Oleifera Benefits: Diabetes
The Moringa Oleifera benefits for diabetics are astounding, and this miracle supplement aids in diabetes management in more ways than one. First, Moringa contains oleic acid, an Omega-9 fatty acid proven for its ability to reduce insulin resistance, thus regulating blood sugar levels in the body naturally.
Next, Moringa Olifera contains seven times the amount of vitamin C than orange juice; vitamin C is vital for the pancreas to produce and regulate insulin in your body. Taking a Moringa Oleifera supplement allows your pancreas to secrete healthy amounts of insulin, once more, keeping your blood sugar levels within a normal range.
Finally, 40 percent of Americans with diabetes experience damage to their eyes, a condition known as retinopathy. Over time, this can lead to inflammation of the eye, macular degeneration and a complete loss of vision. The high levels of vitamin A; however, strengthens the cornea in the eyes of diabetics, preventing these conditions from occurring. All of these Moringa Oleifera benefits are truly amazing.
Moringa Oleifera Benefits: Depression
Depression has numerous causes, one of which is a nutritional deficiency. Sleep deprivation and hormonal imbalance also tie into this condition. Here is the good news, though. Moringa Oleifera contains a whopping 92 vitamins and minerals, 46 antioxidants, 36 anti-inflammatories, 18 amino acids and nine essential amino acids. You get all of these in one serving of the supplement. Combined, they help regulate the serotonin levels in your brain, the hormone responsible for your mood and thoughts. Once balanced, you will find you sleep better, and your hormones work with you rather than against you.
Moringa Oleifera Benefts: Cancer Prevention and Treatment
If you are not yet impressed, you will be now. Cancer is the ugliest word in the English language, stealing more lives than any other disease known to man. Moringa Oleifera is proving itself to be quite a powerful player, both offensive and defensive, when it comes to winning the battle against this mortal enemy.
First, the 46 antioxidants it contains go to work inside your body, destroying and neutralizing any free radicals attempting to turn healthy cells into cancerous agents. Next, Moringa has a secret weapon of sorts, and it is an ingredient by the name of benzyl isothiocyanate. This has proven itself to not only prevent cancer, but also strengthen the cells of those with cancer while undergoing chemotherapy, giving them the ability to tolerate it.
Let’s move on to its nutritional benefits. Approximately 60 percent of cancer patients die due to malnutrition, a rotten side effect of their treatments. As we know, Moringa Oleifera is extremely effective in treating this condition.
Finally, the immune system. Chemotherapy and radiation are known to lower the immunity of cancer patient’s, mking them highly susceptible to sicknesses. Even something as simple as the common cold can be the cause of their death. Moringa Oleifera strengthens the immune system, not only keeping them healthy, but increasing the production of the new cells their bodies need so badly to enter–and stay in–remission.
Moringa Oleifera Benefits: High Blood Pressure
High blood pressure is one of the leading causes of death in the United States. It affects 1 in 3 Americans, and can lead to stroke or cardiac arrest. You can safely lower your blood pressure naturally by taking the Moringa Oleifera supplement, as its positive effects have been proven in studies.
The vitamin C it contains helps your blood vessels function normally, while the calcium helps relax the muscles of the vessels. During studies, it was discovered that Moringa Oleifera contains an additional four compounds that play an essential role in treating and curing high blood pressure. During studies performed, participants taking the Moringa Oleifera supplement experienced a significant reduction in their blood pressure. It was so significant that the researchers and scientists are looking at this as a new avenue for treating hypertension.
Moringa Oleifera benefits are endless–more than 300 conditions and diseases endless. Taking this supplement is not only worth your time, but you would be doing yourself a grave injustice not to. Even if you are in top condition, taking it only ensures you remain healthy for a very long time.

Antioxidants are chemical compounds that are found in particular foods that neutralize free radicals which are caused by oxidation in the body. Antioxidants help protect your body from harmful and dangerous free radicals which cause diseases such as cancers, Alzheimer’s disease, rheumatoid arthritis, heart diseases and other diseases. Free radicals occur naturally in the body because of oxidation but their production is greatly increased by pollution from the environment, smoking cigarettes, alcohol, bacterial and viral infections, stress, toxins, excess exposure to UV rays and many others. You can eat food rich in antioxidants which are mostly organic fresh fruits and vegetables and take supplements so you can live a healthier and long life and to reduce the occurrence of the diseases caused by free radicals.
One of the main health benefits of antioxidants is that they help decrease the chances of getting cancer. When your diet has many antioxidant foods then you reduce the amount of free radicals that are in your body which reduces the chances of getting any form of cancer. Free radicals have a direct relationship with the occurrence of many different types of cancers. People with many free radicals in their bodies are more likely to develop cancers as opposed to those with less amounts of free radicals.
Antioxidants also reduce the chances of contracting diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and diseases that are related to joint pain. This is especially for joint pain and arthritis that develops as a result of aging. Another health benefit of antioxidants is that they prevent and also delay the onset of diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases. Free radicals damage nerves in the brain and damaged nerves will affect the way the body and mind operates. Antioxidants combat these free radicals reducing and preventing nerve damage so that you do not get the diseases or if you are predisposed by genetics to get the disease, then the occurrence of the diseases id greatly delayed.
Another one of the health benefits of antioxidants is that they help slow the process of aging and increase life longetivity. This is because free radicals attack the body cells and cause them to age at a faster rate. It also prevents and slows down the occurrence of age related issues such as cataracts. Antioxidants also helps to decrease the rate of wrinkle forming on your skin because they keep the skin moist and they will help protect the skin from sun damage so that you don’t look old because your skin is protected.
Antioxidants cannot cure diseases or work alone to prevent the diseases or age related issues that occur but they work greatly to reduce the chances of getting some of these diseases. They will also not completely stop aging but they will slow down the effects of aging on the body so that you don’t look and feel quite as old as you are. It is recommended that you take supplements in addition to antioxidant rich fruits and vegetables to get the best results.
Green coffee extract has been buzzing over the past month – even reaching one of the top ten trending topics in Yahoo and Google. Until now, not many people know what green coffee beans are let alone know what benefits they have. So what is green coffee extract and what has caused the sudden interest in them?
Green coffee beans are simply unroasted green coffee beans. They are primarily grown in Latin and South America, where the tropic climate yields the highest quality beans. Now, they are being used as dietary supplements after a study was just recently published and sent to media outlets.
The main cause of the buzz is in fact that clinical study mentioned above. The 22-week study was conducted in Scranton, Pennsylvania at the University of Scranton. The study involved 16 overweight participants, who were given a high dose of green coffee extract, a low dose of green coffee extract, and a placebo intermittently.
During the 22-week study, the participants were told not to change any of their diet or exercise habits. After 22 weeks went by, the participants were weighed to record any weight loss. Surprisingly, the participants lost 17 pounds on average, which accounts for a weight loss of 10.5% of original body weight and a 16% decrease in fat mass. Also, researchers noted that when the participants took the high dose of pure green coffee bean extract, they averaged a weight loss of 2% of their body weight per week. The low dose netted an average weight loss of a little less than 1% and the placebo netted a weight gain of about .5%.
The results astonished researchers especially because of the high caloric consumption of the participants. Researchers recorded the caloric intake and exercise habits of participants and found that the participants had an average caloric intake of 2,400 calories – while only burning about 400 calories per day from exercise.
Joe Vinson, a chemist who conducted the study said that he was able to determine the cause for weight loss. Green coffee extract contains a substance called chlorogenic acid, which has two main weight loss properties. First, chlorogenic acid stimulates the body’s metabolism and instructs the body to start converting fat reserves into energy. Second, chlorogenic acid reduces the absorption of glucose, which prevents the liver from absorbing fat.
Now, you may be wondering – why take supplements when you can just drink green coffee. In theory this sounds like it may be effective, but Vinson also tested this theory. He found that chlorogenic acid evaporates when green coffee beans are roasted, which explains why green coffee drinks do not get the same benefits. Therefore, you have to take a green coffee extract supplement to experience these results.
While Vinson said these results were conclusive that green coffee extract can and will aid in weight loss, he noted that he and his team also are conducting a larger trial of 60 people at this current time. He hopes this will provide the same concrete evidence that green coffee extract aids in weight loss.
Mmmmmmm…..garlic. Its aroma while simmering in spaghetti sauce, or as it is being sauteed, is enough to tease your tastebuds, making them beg for a bite. But garlic is so much more than the seasoning many use it for. It offers a plethora of health benefits; benefits you may find you just cannot live without.
1. Cancer Prevention
Consuming garlic daily can help prevent nearly all cancer types with the exception of prostate and breast cancer. Limiting your intake to several times a week, or moderate consumption, reduces this benefit further, preventing the risk of only colorectal and renal cancer, according to WHFoods. This is not merely a myth either. Large amounts of research backs this claim. So much so that garlic is known as an anti-cancer food.
2. Cardivascular Benefits
Garlic helps protect the lining of the blood vessels, thus reducing the risk of heart attack. It also helps prevent the build up of plaque along the walls of the arteries, thus decreasing the risk of blood clots. This keeps the arteries clear, allowing blood to flow freely as it should to both the heart and brain.
3. Anti-Bacterial Benefits
Garlic may have the ability to fight off numerous types of bacteria, proving itself to be just as potent as penicillin. These include E. Coli, Listeria, Salmonella and Candida albican. A quick history fact for you: this was first discovered in he 19th century when French priests who ate garlic everyday remained healthy, while English priests lay sick from fever due to a bacterial infection.
To receive the greatest benefits from garlic, it is better to let it sit a short time after chopping or crushing it. This gives its enzymes time to increase in potency. Do not let too much time go by though–one hour is sufficient. Additionally, microwaving steals some of the cancer fighting nutrients garlic contains. If possible, add fresh uncooked garlic to your food.
One of the most consistent messages from the medical world, all over the world, has been that it is important to control the cholesterol. Cholesterol can clog your blood vessels and thus increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. The synthetic drugs on the market can indeed easily lower cholesterol, but they have side effects. More and more consumers are looking for a more natural solution to the problem.
Moreover, one should be aware that although blood cholesterol can be a health risk, it’s not just a “bad word.” The form of cholesterol known as HDL, is known for actually being able to reduce the risk of heart problems. More and more studies suggest that a natural approach can be extremely effective when it comes to reducing the total cholesterol levels while increasing HDL-cholesterol. This article describes how you do.
How to lower your cholesterol
One way to reduce the effects of cholesterol on body is to lower LDL cholesterol. Traditionally it is said, that in this context you should avoid foods that have a high content of saturated fatty acids, for example. red meat, dairy products and eggs. This can be proven to help lower cholesterol levels.
Furthermore, forget that all the cholesterol has come from your diet. Certain foods stimulate the secretion of insulin, which in turn increases cholesterol production in the liver. The foods that have this effect should be avoided in large quantities. White bread, white rice, pasta, biscuits and cakes come under this category of foods.
While some foods seem to increase cholesterol levels, others can help to lower it. We have identified a variety of foods that have this effect, for example soy products (eg. tofu), oats, garlic, onions, grapefruit, apples, nuts (especially walnuts), yogurt and alfalfa.
Cholesterol in the kitchen
Another way to improve the total cholesterol level is to raise the levels of HDL cholesterol in the diet. Studies show that fish oil, olive oil and garlic all have this effect. This may be part of the explanation that, in Mediterranean areas we have a relatively low incidence of heart disease. Do you eat lots of fatty fish (salmon, trout, tuna, mackerel and herring) and lots of extra virgin olive oil and raw garlic, you can eventually increase your HDL cholesterol.
Another thing in this context is alcohol. Several studies show that alcohol may increase HDL cholesterol. But if you drink too much, it increases the risk of developing problems like elevated blood pressure, irregular heart rhythm and liver diseases. Another drink that may be useful to consider if you want to raise your HDL cholesterol is green tea. A Japanese study, published in 1995 showed that men, who drink green tea, had a high HDL cholesterol levels and a correspondingly lower LDL cholesterol. Green tea is also available as capsules.
Get your heart to work!
There are a plenty of research showing a link between exercise and increased HDL-cholesterol. People who run 50 km or more per week have a 29% lower risk of heart disease compared with men who run less than 15 km per week.
Finally, the dietary supplements that are designed to raise HDL cholesterol are a good complement to the lifestyle changes. Fish oils and garlic products are proven to promote HDL-occurrence in the blood and may therefore be a good idea. Another natural and highly researched fabric is niacin. A study has found that 1500-3000 mg of niacin per day (distributed over three laps) could increase HDL cholesterol by 35%. However, it should be noted that high doses of niacin may put excessive load on liver. Therefore this treatment should be performed only by your doctor.
Here is a 9 step plan for a healthy heart and reduced cholesterol:
1. Eat a diet, rich in oily fish, nuts, seeds and avocado – so that you can increase your HDL cholesterol (the “good” cholesterol).
2. Exercise regularly – the more you train the more you can lower your total cholesterol.
3. Take supplements of chromium and niacin to reduce total cholesterol.
4. Eat less saturated fat – and fewer fatty foods in general.
5. Cut especially red meat and cheese – and eat eggs in moderation.
6. Eat fewer refined carbohydrates in the form of white bread, white rice, pasta made from wheat flour, biscuits and cakes. These foods stimulate the secretion of insulin, which makes the production of cholesterol in the liver to rise.
7. Eat foods that lower LDL cholesterol, such as soy products, oats, garlic, onions, grapefruit, apples, yogurt and alfalfa.
8. Take supplements of vitamin E – it reduces your risk of developing heart disease.
9. Drink moderate amounts of alcohol.
There are very few people who have the influence on the American public’s buying habits. First, it was Oprah Winfrey who would mention a book that would send women (and some men) running to their nearest Barnes and Noble to get their hands on it. Next, she would invite Doctor Mehmet Oz onto her show to discuss health. Now, Dr. Oz has his own television show, the Dr. Oz Show. There’s been some great advice to come from there, but the best advice in recent memory is arguably the show about “Fat Busting Metabolism Boosters,” where so much hope has come to people wanting to lose those stubborn pounds.
As soon as Doctor Oz mentioned raspberry ketones as a natural weight loss supplement, it started flying off the shelves at health food stores… The only problem is, that the raspberry ketone pills that most stores have for sale are a derivative of ketones – not all-natural, pure raspberry ketone. Basically, by purchasing a derivative of raspberry ketone, the consumer is buying a low quality supplement.
What constitutes a high-quality raspberry ketone product?
High-quality, pure raspberry ketones will be packed with all-natural ingredients that will have numerous benefits for your health. The best raspberry ketone product on the market, based upon our independent investigations and reviews is Raspberry Ketone Pure. Why did this supplement catch our attention, and why is it set apart from all the other supplements on the market?
Raspberry Ketone Pure contains the following ingredients:
- African Mango which is a proven fat-burner and appetite suppressant
- Kelp which helps boost your metabolism
- Acai Berry which is loaded with antioxidants
- Apple Cider Vinegar which contributes to a healthy digestive system
- Green Tea Extract which lowers your blood pressure and cholesterol
- Grapefruit Extract which is high in Vitamin C and fiber pectin
Who should try a raspberry ketone supplement?
Based on everything that we have read about raspberry ketones, everyone would be able to take advantage of the benefits of raspberry ketone. If someone is trying to lose stubborn pounds, or if they’ve been experiencing low energy levels, it’d be a great idea to try out a raspberry ketone supplement.
Many people get excited when they hear about supplements thinking that it’s a magic pill that will melt their pounds away. Sorry, there is no pill to allow you to continue to eat McDonalds three times a day with no exercise and lose all your excess pounds! This is a great way to give your metabolism and your health a little boost… But it’s only part of the equation.
Drinking water daily and exercising on a regular basis will both help contribute to your best health. Improve your energy levels and boost your metabolism by doing the right things on a daily basis. A supplement will help your existing diet, so long as you’re on the right track: to help you improve daily in all aspects of your life.
