The Many Benefits of Deer Antler Velvet Spray
Ah, deer, one of the most beautiful creatures Mother Nature placed on this planet. There is no other animal more gorgeous to behold as they graze and move gracefully from one spot to another. Some enjoy watching them in their natural habitat, while others use them as a food source as their ancestors did so long ago in the days of the pioneers. Today, though, there is yet another use for these awe-inspiring creatures. The antlers of the stags provide numerous benefits for those who are trying to build muscle, or who are professional bodybuilders. Although this may seem insane, it is true, and it comes in the form of a supplement known as deer antler velvet spray.
The History of Deer Antler Velvet Spray
Just as with many of the all-natural supplements on the market, deer antler velvet was first used in traditional Chinese medicine. Its discovery as a health aid was found on an ancient Chinese scroll hidden in a tomb in the province of Hunan; the scroll is believed to be more than 2,000 years old. Amazingly, the way the Chinese view this “tonic” as they call it, is the same today as it was when its discovery was first made. To them it is the creme de la creme, providing its users with energy, vitality and stamina. And where do these benefits come from? The hormones in the velvet of the deer antlers.
Where Deer Antler Velvet Comes from and How It Is Made
As its name suggests, deer antler velvet comes from the velvet of the antler’s of the stag during their early-growth stage. This is when the velvet contains a type of cartilginous tissue full of beneficial hormones for humans. New Zealand is the largest producer of this supplement, having more than 2,800 dear farms with a combined total of 1.1 million dear. Every year, they ship tens of millions of dollars worth of dear antler velvet spray to both Asia and the United States; this should speak for its popularity due to efficacy.
Production begins with removing the velvet from the antlers of the stag. In no way are the deer harmed during the process. A veterinarian simply places them under anasthesia to keep them calm until the velvet is removed. It is then made into supplement form and ready for shipment. Now, how about those benefits?
Deer Antler Velvet Spray and Muscle
The goal of any bodybuilder is larger muscles and greater strength. Using deer antler velvet spray helps with both. The reason this supplement is so effective is because of its key hormonal ingredient: IGF-1, or insulin growth-like factor 1. Your body produces this naturally for healthy growth and development. IGF-1 also stimulates HGF, also known as the human growth factor. So how does this affect you as a bodybuilder or someone simply wanting to gain some extra muscle? First, it assists your body in producing more of both of these hormones naturally. This, in turn, increases the rate at which the cells of your muscles divide and replicate, resulting in larger muscles in a shorter period of time. Your muscle cells also become longer and thicker, making you stronger in the process.
Deer Antler Velvet Spray and Nutrition
Whether you are a beginning bodybuilder, or one who is experienced, you know how important good nutrition is to achieving your goals. Your body requires protein to increase lean muscle and carbohydrates for energy to make it through your intense workout. However, it does not matter how healthy you eat if the essential nutrients are not making their way to where they are needed. Have no fear, though, this is where deer antler velvet comes into play. Numerous studies have shown that this supplement directly influences the amount of nutrients your muscles receive. Not only does this ensure you build larger, stronger muscles and have the energy you need, it also aids in recovery time, another important role of the protein in your diet. This is not all, though. The IGF-1 increases circulation in your body, enabling you to lift for longer periods of time, and at a greater intensity.
Deer Antler Velvet and Your Metabolism
You may think you have the fastest metabolism you can possibly have, but guess again. Deer antler velvet spray can fire up your internal furnace, helping you decrease fat while increasing your muscle. This is obviously your goal: you want the meanest, leanest body around town. So why not achieve the easiest, healthiest way possible?
Deer Antler Velvet Spray and Injuries
It does not matter how long you have been bodybuilding for, how safe you are or how much of an expert you may be, injuries can and do occur. You are a person, not a machine. Lucky for you deer antler velvet spray helps you heal faster from injuries, allowing you to hit the gym in a faster amount of time. Whether this be torn tendons or cartilage, this supplement does wonders for reducing the amount of time you spend relaxing on your couch and hitting those weights once more.
Studies on Deer Antler Velvet Extract
Okay, so you do not know me and are second guessing everything I am telling you, right? Do you think it all sounds too good to be true? Well think again my bodybuilding buddy. I have studies to prove you wrong and show you just how right I am. The first comes from an orthopedic surgeon by the name of Leon Popovitz, founder of New York Bone and Joint located in Manhattan. He states that IGF-1 is effective for healing tendon and cartilage injuries due to repetitive trauma. Hmmm…kind of like lifting weights over your head 100 times? Still not a believer? Okay, here is another one for you.
Participants in another study who were given deer antler velvet spray showed significant improvement in their weight. Those who were osteoporotic showed great improvement in bone strength. All demonstrated a significant improvement in the functioning of their immune system. There is no denying what I have presented to you now.
Many bodybuilders turn to steroids for the same benefits I have presented to you. However, steroid use is dangerous and causes numeorus adverse side effects. Go the all-natural route to help you achieve the body of your dreams and try deer antler velvet spray. Hey, if it’s written on ancient Chinese scrolls it must be good.

Antioxidants Help Stop Diseases and Prevent Cancer
Antioxidants are chemical compounds that are found in particular foods that neutralize free radicals which are caused by oxidation in the body. Antioxidants help protect your body from harmful and dangerous free radicals which cause diseases such as cancers, Alzheimer’s disease, rheumatoid arthritis, heart diseases and other diseases. Free radicals occur naturally in the body because of oxidation but their production is greatly increased by pollution from the environment, smoking cigarettes, alcohol, bacterial and viral infections, stress, toxins, excess exposure to UV rays and many others. You can eat food rich in antioxidants which are mostly organic fresh fruits and vegetables and take supplements so you can live a healthier and long life and to reduce the occurrence of the diseases caused by free radicals.
One of the main health benefits of antioxidants is that they help decrease the chances of getting cancer. When your diet has many antioxidant foods then you reduce the amount of free radicals that are in your body which reduces the chances of getting any form of cancer. Free radicals have a direct relationship with the occurrence of many different types of cancers. People with many free radicals in their bodies are more likely to develop cancers as opposed to those with less amounts of free radicals.
Antioxidants also reduce the chances of contracting diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and diseases that are related to joint pain. This is especially for joint pain and arthritis that develops as a result of aging. Another health benefit of antioxidants is that they prevent and also delay the onset of diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases. Free radicals damage nerves in the brain and damaged nerves will affect the way the body and mind operates. Antioxidants combat these free radicals reducing and preventing nerve damage so that you do not get the diseases or if you are predisposed by genetics to get the disease, then the occurrence of the diseases id greatly delayed.
Another one of the health benefits of antioxidants is that they help slow the process of aging and increase life longetivity. This is because free radicals attack the body cells and cause them to age at a faster rate. It also prevents and slows down the occurrence of age related issues such as cataracts. Antioxidants also helps to decrease the rate of wrinkle forming on your skin because they keep the skin moist and they will help protect the skin from sun damage so that you don’t look old because your skin is protected.
Antioxidants cannot cure diseases or work alone to prevent the diseases or age related issues that occur but they work greatly to reduce the chances of getting some of these diseases. They will also not completely stop aging but they will slow down the effects of aging on the body so that you don’t look and feel quite as old as you are. It is recommended that you take supplements in addition to antioxidant rich fruits and vegetables to get the best results.
The Research on Green Coffee Bean Extract
Green coffee extract has been buzzing over the past month – even reaching one of the top ten trending topics in Yahoo and Google. Until now, not many people know what green coffee beans are let alone know what benefits they have. So what is green coffee extract and what has caused the sudden interest in them?
Green coffee beans are simply unroasted green coffee beans. They are primarily grown in Latin and South America, where the tropic climate yields the highest quality beans. Now, they are being used as dietary supplements after a study was just recently published and sent to media outlets.

The main cause of the buzz is in fact that clinical study mentioned above. The 22-week study was conducted in Scranton, Pennsylvania at the University of Scranton. The study involved 16 overweight participants, who were given a high dose of green coffee extract, a low dose of green coffee extract, and a placebo intermittently.
During the 22-week study, the participants were told not to change any of their diet or exercise habits. After 22 weeks went by, the participants were weighed to record any weight loss. Surprisingly, the participants lost 17 pounds on average, which accounts for a weight loss of 10.5% of original body weight and a 16% decrease in fat mass. Also, researchers noted that when the participants took the high dose of pure green coffee bean extract, they averaged a weight loss of 2% of their body weight per week. The low dose netted an average weight loss of a little less than 1% and the placebo netted a weight gain of about .5%.

The results astonished researchers especially because of the high caloric consumption of the participants. Researchers recorded the caloric intake and exercise habits of participants and found that the participants had an average caloric intake of 2,400 calories – while only burning about 400 calories per day from exercise.
Joe Vinson, a chemist who conducted the study said that he was able to determine the cause for weight loss. Green coffee extract contains a substance called chlorogenic acid, which has two main weight loss properties. First, chlorogenic acid stimulates the body’s metabolism and instructs the body to start converting fat reserves into energy. Second, chlorogenic acid reduces the absorption of glucose, which prevents the liver from absorbing fat.
Now, you may be wondering – why take supplements when you can just drink green coffee. In theory this sounds like it may be effective, but Vinson also tested this theory. He found that chlorogenic acid evaporates when green coffee beans are roasted, which explains why green coffee drinks do not get the same benefits. Therefore, you have to take a green coffee extract supplement to experience these results.
While Vinson said these results were conclusive that green coffee extract can and will aid in weight loss, he noted that he and his team also are conducting a larger trial of 60 people at this current time. He hopes this will provide the same concrete evidence that green coffee extract aids in weight loss.
The Health Benefits of Garlic
Mmmmmmm…..garlic. Its aroma while simmering in spaghetti sauce, or as it is being sauteed, is enough to tease your tastebuds, making them beg for a bite. But garlic is so much more than the seasoning many use it for. It offers a plethora of health benefits; benefits you may find you just cannot live without.
1. Cancer Prevention
Consuming garlic daily can help prevent nearly all cancer types with the exception of prostate and breast cancer. Limiting your intake to several times a week, or moderate consumption, reduces this benefit further, preventing the risk of only colorectal and renal cancer, according to WHFoods. This is not merely a myth either. Large amounts of research backs this claim. So much so that garlic is known as an anti-cancer food.
2. Cardivascular Benefits
Garlic helps protect the lining of the blood vessels, thus reducing the risk of heart attack. It also helps prevent the build up of plaque along the walls of the arteries, thus decreasing the risk of blood clots. This keeps the arteries clear, allowing blood to flow freely as it should to both the heart and brain.
3. Anti-Bacterial Benefits
Garlic may have the ability to fight off numerous types of bacteria, proving itself to be just as potent as penicillin. These include E. Coli, Listeria, Salmonella and Candida albican. A quick history fact for you: this was first discovered in he 19th century when French priests who ate garlic everyday remained healthy, while English priests lay sick from fever due to a bacterial infection.
To receive the greatest benefits from garlic, it is better to let it sit a short time after chopping or crushing it. This gives its enzymes time to increase in potency. Do not let too much time go by though–one hour is sufficient. Additionally, microwaving steals some of the cancer fighting nutrients garlic contains. If possible, add fresh uncooked garlic to your food.
Foods that Lower Cholesterol: Is It Possible?
One of the most consistent messages from the medical world, all over the world, has been that it is important to control the cholesterol. Cholesterol can clog your blood vessels and thus increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. The synthetic drugs on the market can indeed easily lower cholesterol, but they have side effects. More and more consumers are looking for a more natural solution to the problem.
Moreover, one should be aware that although blood cholesterol can be a health risk, it’s not just a “bad word.” The form of cholesterol known as HDL, is known for actually being able to reduce the risk of heart problems. More and more studies suggest that a natural approach can be extremely effective when it comes to reducing the total cholesterol levels while increasing HDL-cholesterol. This article describes how you do.
How to lower your cholesterol
One way to reduce the effects of cholesterol on body is to lower LDL cholesterol. Traditionally it is said, that in this context you should avoid foods that have a high content of saturated fatty acids, for example. red meat, dairy products and eggs. This can be proven to help lower cholesterol levels.
Furthermore, forget that all the cholesterol has come from your diet. Certain foods stimulate the secretion of insulin, which in turn increases cholesterol production in the liver. The foods that have this effect should be avoided in large quantities. White bread, white rice, pasta, biscuits and cakes come under this category of foods.
While some foods seem to increase cholesterol levels, others can help to lower it. We have identified a variety of foods that have this effect, for example soy products (eg. tofu), oats, garlic, onions, grapefruit, apples, nuts (especially walnuts), yogurt and alfalfa.
Cholesterol in the kitchen
Another way to improve the total cholesterol level is to raise the levels of HDL cholesterol in the diet. Studies show that fish oil, olive oil and garlic all have this effect. This may be part of the explanation that, in Mediterranean areas we have a relatively low incidence of heart disease. Do you eat lots of fatty fish (salmon, trout, tuna, mackerel and herring) and lots of extra virgin olive oil and raw garlic, you can eventually increase your HDL cholesterol.
Another thing in this context is alcohol. Several studies show that alcohol may increase HDL cholesterol. But if you drink too much, it increases the risk of developing problems like elevated blood pressure, irregular heart rhythm and liver diseases. Another drink that may be useful to consider if you want to raise your HDL cholesterol is green tea. A Japanese study, published in 1995 showed that men, who drink green tea, had a high HDL cholesterol levels and a correspondingly lower LDL cholesterol. Green tea is also available as capsules.
Get your heart to work!
There are a plenty of research showing a link between exercise and increased HDL-cholesterol. People who run 50 km or more per week have a 29% lower risk of heart disease compared with men who run less than 15 km per week.
Finally, the dietary supplements that are designed to raise HDL cholesterol are a good complement to the lifestyle changes. Fish oils and garlic products are proven to promote HDL-occurrence in the blood and may therefore be a good idea. Another natural and highly researched fabric is niacin. A study has found that 1500-3000 mg of niacin per day (distributed over three laps) could increase HDL cholesterol by 35%. However, it should be noted that high doses of niacin may put excessive load on liver. Therefore this treatment should be performed only by your doctor.
Here is a 9 step plan for a healthy heart and reduced cholesterol:
1. Eat a diet, rich in oily fish, nuts, seeds and avocado – so that you can increase your HDL cholesterol (the “good” cholesterol).
2. Exercise regularly – the more you train the more you can lower your total cholesterol.
3. Take supplements of chromium and niacin to reduce total cholesterol.
4. Eat less saturated fat – and fewer fatty foods in general.
5. Cut especially red meat and cheese – and eat eggs in moderation.
6. Eat fewer refined carbohydrates in the form of white bread, white rice, pasta made from wheat flour, biscuits and cakes. These foods stimulate the secretion of insulin, which makes the production of cholesterol in the liver to rise.
7. Eat foods that lower LDL cholesterol, such as soy products, oats, garlic, onions, grapefruit, apples, yogurt and alfalfa.
8. Take supplements of vitamin E – it reduces your risk of developing heart disease.
9. Drink moderate amounts of alcohol.
Doctor Oz Creates a Diet Frenzy with Raspberry Ketone
There are very few people who have the influence on the American public’s buying habits. First, it was Oprah Winfrey who would mention a book that would send women (and some men) running to their nearest Barnes and Noble to get their hands on it. Next, she would invite Doctor Mehmet Oz onto her show to discuss health. Now, Dr. Oz has his own television show, the Dr. Oz Show. There’s been some great advice to come from there, but the best advice in recent memory is arguably the show about “Fat Busting Metabolism Boosters,” where so much hope has come to people wanting to lose those stubborn pounds.

As soon as Doctor Oz mentioned raspberry ketones as a natural weight loss supplement, it started flying off the shelves at health food stores… The only problem is, that the raspberry ketone pills that most stores have for sale are a derivative of ketones – not all-natural, pure raspberry ketone. Basically, by purchasing a derivative of raspberry ketone, the consumer is buying a low quality supplement.
What constitutes a high-quality raspberry ketone product?
High-quality, pure raspberry ketones will be packed with all-natural ingredients that will have numerous benefits for your health. The best raspberry ketone product on the market, based upon our independent investigations and reviews is Raspberry Ketone Pure. Why did this supplement catch our attention, and why is it set apart from all the other supplements on the market?
Raspberry Ketone Pure contains the following ingredients:
- African Mango which is a proven fat-burner and appetite suppressant
- Kelp which helps boost your metabolism
- Acai Berry which is loaded with antioxidants
- Apple Cider Vinegar which contributes to a healthy digestive system
- Green Tea Extract which lowers your blood pressure and cholesterol
- Grapefruit Extract which is high in Vitamin C and fiber pectin
Who should try a raspberry ketone supplement?
Based on everything that we have read about raspberry ketones, everyone would be able to take advantage of the benefits of raspberry ketone. If someone is trying to lose stubborn pounds, or if they’ve been experiencing low energy levels, it’d be a great idea to try out a raspberry ketone supplement.
Many people get excited when they hear about supplements thinking that it’s a magic pill that will melt their pounds away. Sorry, there is no pill to allow you to continue to eat McDonalds three times a day with no exercise and lose all your excess pounds! This is a great way to give your metabolism and your health a little boost… But it’s only part of the equation.
Drinking water daily and exercising on a regular basis will both help contribute to your best health. Improve your energy levels and boost your metabolism by doing the right things on a daily basis. A supplement will help your existing diet, so long as you’re on the right track: to help you improve daily in all aspects of your life.
